SAP CRM: How to change attribute label in 'Recent Items' Overlay?

Hello experts,

we are using the preview overlay for 'Recent Items' in SAP CRM as described in SNOTE 2314755 that will show up when you mouseover (hover) over certain 'Recent Items'.

Now we have a requirement to change the shown attribute names, for example 'campaign ID' in the overlay might be changed to 'ID of campaign' etc.

While I have found the necessary customizing options to change the appearance and shown attributes via table WCF_MLC_OBJ_FLDS, the "attribute label" can't be changed there.

To be clear: I don't want to change the label for certain attributes for the whole system but simply for the overlay.

Do you have any tips or directions?
