when I enter 01.12.2008 or 01.12.2007 in DATE_GET_MONTH_LASTDAY I get no result back

when I enter 01.11.2008 I get 31.11.2008

anybody knows what is happening here ? and how to fix this ??

Your case was already solved and I don't need points, but in hope that some other developer might read this thread and would be using same fm DATE_GET_MONTH_LASTDAY as well, I give this warning: DATE_GET_MONTH_LASTDAY calculates wrong value (it returns no value at all) if month is December. A note 1063114 from year 2007 corrects this, but it is not necessarily corrected even in very latest SPs nor EHPs. My recent finding is from a fresh installed ECC6.0 system with EHP3. Thus beware if you use fm DATE_GET_MONTH_LASTDAY. Use other alternative fm's as was already provided in this thread.

Luckyly no SAP standard uses this fm anymore, which might be the reason why the note 1063114 is not applied even for newer SPs/EHPs.
