A client of ours wants to save an Analysis workbook locally with values and formatting only (without a data source). Is there any way to do this automatically or at least end user friendly? Right now we do it manually by copying all sheets to an empty workbook, but we feel there should be a simpler way to do this.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Hello Enis,
go to tab "Components" in the Design Panel and do the following settings:
- UNCHECK "Refresh Workbook on Opening"
- UNCHECK "Force Prompt for Initial Refresh"
- CHECK "Store Prompts with Workbook"
- UNCHECK "Remove Date Before Saving"
You will still have the datasources in the workbook, but with this setting it will be kind of static.
Of course it would be much more end user friendly having a "Save as" option to store data in a pure Excel file, but unfortunately I didn't come across this option so far...
Kind regards,
Jürgen Grallert

Hello Enis - please see the SAP Help https://help.sap.com/viewer/ca9c58444d64420d99d6c136a3207632/2.6.1.0/en-US/f2723ab36c9b1014bf2c9a7eb... - maybe the "remove data before saving" option will meet your requirements.

Hello - have you considered workbook/style templates?

Hi Tammy
I am not sure what you mean by that. Maybe my question wasn't clear enough. Basically what I need to do is save a workbook as is from the server to my desktop. I don't want it to have any data sources in it after I save it but I do want the values(without formulas) and formatting to remain the same.
