hi,
We have a problem in india payroll scenario , we have some wage types configured as
allowanced in infotype 14 , the client requirement is to prorate the wage type amount while
running payroll if the employee has take a paid leave , but he should get amounts
mentioned in the Infotype 8 which is part of basic pay.
How can this be done ,?
For example if in IT 8 i have
Basic
DA
HRA
CCA
and in
IT 14 i have washing allowance
while payroll run , if any employee has taken EARNED LEAVE (paid leave) , he or she should
only get the basic pay in full and other alllowances in IT 14 as per the days worked.
IF the leave taken is 7 days , the washing allowance should be pro rated to working days
minus 7 days
Romil has given some hint , in my previous quesion but im still not able to make it work ,
Any one plz help.
Regards
Sameer
Hi
To prorate the washing allowance wagetype, make sure that /801 is associated with that wagetype for processing class 10 in the wagetype characteristics.
To get full basic pay component, go to the absence evaluation of that absence type (Earned Leave) where in you can specify the percentage of the wagetype amount that it is supposed to consider if an employeee takes that leave. Mention this percentage as 100% for the basic pay wagetype you have.
Hope this helps

Hi,
playing around with the processing class 10 is indeed the right thing to do.
However first check which of the PPF (Partial Period Factors) provides the correct calculation (which can be /801 but can be one of the other PPF's) and assign the correct value for the processing class for the wage type accordingly.

Hi ,
Have you thought of managing this with Absence Evaluation under payroll India. Here you can specify what are the leave types to be paid, how much needs to be paid, etc.
That is the most optimal solution that we have come across so far
Hope this info helps
