PPDS Plant rollout

Hi all,

What do we mean by plant rollout in PPDS? that is PPDS is configured and the project team has developed a rollout template. Now individual plants need to be rolled out. How this is done, both from a functional and technical view point?

Pls check whether the master data is same across the plants

If so, then change the IM for the master data and the transaction data and activate the corresponding IM's.

Also pls check your CIF settings are done for all the plants in APO like for example Distribution definition and user maintenance.

I am sort of in infancy stage, to the extend that I don't know what is IM. Could you pl elaborate? Also we plan to roll out only a couple of plants at a time. Any inputs are welcome.

It is Integration Model which is to be generated in R3 to transfer the master data and transaction data from R3 to APO and viceversa

In APO, please look at the transaction 'Maintain Distribution Definition' in SPRO>basis settings>Publication>Maintain Distribution definition
