Hi all,
Having an issue with a BPC control that has always worked in the past, but all of a sudden we're getting an error.
The error after we try and run controls:
The control rule that we've narrowed the issue down to is basically checking that the opening balance and flows (continuity) equals the closing balance:
Looking to get your thoughts on the error.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
As my colleague stated the error is generic but since it is saying MDX error I recommend checking the master data changes. I recommend executing RSRV to check the health of the master data. Furthermore, to get some better idea where the issue comes from I would recommend capturing ST05 or ST12 traces. These traces are usually used for performance but in some cases they can be useful to capture what programs are executed and what program could be causing a problem. If you use ST12 make the number of activations higher than 5 to get as much details as possible.

If you re-create the rule do you get the same error?
If so, it is unlikely that the cause can be pinpointed here without connection to your system. Most probably you will have to open a SAP Incident so that we can connect to your system and investigate.

This is a fairly generic error. Is there any further errors or details in either the SLG1 logs or ST22 dumps on the BW system when this error occurs?
