Hi Experts,
Was wondering whether any of you have successfully implemented work status and subsequently BPF during your implementation of BPC Optimized (Real Time Consolidation.
I am trying to follow the planning one (BADI implementation) that is suggested in the training manuals, however I cant seem to get it to work.
Has anyone managed to implement successfully on consolidations?
Thanks
Hello,
Please be specific about the problems. If you have work status working successfully and you are having problems integrating it with BPF then we should focus on the configuration of BPF. If on the other hand you do not have work status working then we should focus on that first.

Hi,
This is a brand new implementation of S4 HANA RTC, so to be honest, I think we should start with work status.
We have used the following link to attempt to implement
Is this the best approach? Can you not follow the same principles from classic?
Ie. create owner and reviewer attribute against ERP/ECOMP and maintain the user ID against entity members?
Thanks
Hi,
The most critical aspect of BPC work status is the concept of OWNER vs MANAGER, and the work status rules. These apply equally to BPC standard and embedded. The following is some links to online help and a KBA and a high level explanation.
Please check online help Work status Setup
This KBA: 2406679 - BPC Work status - Work status Rules explained
The following is the highlights of the challenges of implementing owner/manager concept in BPC embedded.
The challenge of setting this up for embedded is the concept of manager. Many of the BPC embedded implementations use external hierarchies, and when these are text nodes the customer has to find ways of creating the concept of manager.
We have had customers implementing a few approaches and using a BADI to extract the correct owner / manager information. We cannot recommend which approach is better but I hope this information is helpful for you to find the correct solution for you.
