Hi,

is it possible to change the number decimal places for the price field in the PO.

The user wants 3 decimal places, currently he can enter only 2 decimal places.

Kindly advice.

Thanks in advance,

Ramesh.

Hi. This is possible but strongly not recommended.

You must change it in the backend system too and if you have made any financial postings in the system you must not change it or it will cause major issues.

1 OK solution is to create a new currency as a copy of the other with extra decimals, for example EU3 to represent euroes with 3 decimal places.

You change it in the IMG in General settings > Currencies > Set Decimal places.

A much better solution is to use the price unit field.

If you want a price of 1.234, set the price as 12.34 with a price unit of 10. That means 10 cost 12.34 so 1 costs 1.234.

Hi Dave,

I am modifying the quantity to get the Net price for the 3 decimal places.

Is it possible to adjust it using the 'per unit' field. Currently this field doesnt allow any decimal fields.

is there any customising to allow decimals for this field as well?

Ramesh.

Hi. You do not need to put decimal places in the price unit field. The field is simply called "Per" in the shopping cart basic data screen.

You would normally put a factor of 10 in, so 10, 100, 1000 and so on to get the right price.

Dave.
