Lumira 2.0 Designer - Offline Data Source - How to update ?

Dear all,

A new feature in Lumira 2.0 Designer is the Offline Data Source.

Workflow :

• In Discovery, import data, create a calulation, create a new Story, save it on the BI Platform as a new lumx document
• In Designer, import the document, create a new application in that document, add the offline data source

Question :

How can you update the Data Source in Designer ?

Imagine that you have to update the calculation in Discovery, how could the data in Designer get updated ?

What is the workflow ?

I tried many flows (saving of the story in Discovery, synchronize with BI Platform in Designer, ...), but I do not get the solution.

HI Hans

This works for me

1) Make sure the designer is closed

2) Open the LUMX file in discovery - (either the local one or the SBOP version) and make your changes to the LUMX file

3) Save the LUMX file and - close the LUMX file ... press home

4) In designer refresh the LUMX file .. without opening it, when refreshed you can open the application and continue

You can only have the LUMX file open i one client tool at the time

Hi Tammy,

The issue is not really a refresh of the data, but a change of the formula of a calculated measure.

In Discovery, in the dataset I created a new calculated measure.

I'm using that dataset as an offline data source in Designer.

I now want to change the formula of that calculated measure. I have to do that in Discovery. After having saved the lumx file in Discovery, the application within the lumx file disappears in Designer as the lumx file will be overwritten.
