SAP reports are not printing with dot matrix but using crystal reports it is fine

Hi there

SAP reports are not printing properly with dot matrix printer (Epson LQ590) but using directly from Crystal Reports it is fine.

We tried so many options;

1. Use the same printer settings in both SAP B1 & Crystal Report (Crystal Report fine but SAP B1 not)

2. Convert to PDF in SAP and print it is fine.

3. Tried using the paper size (letter fanfold 8.5" x 11") as custom size in SAP B1 but same result (not good print)

Could you please help us to sort this issue since we are unable to start our work in SAP

Hi Prabhath,

SAP B1 uses the 64 bit CR for VS runtime. Can you go into Programs and features ans ee what version of the .NET runtime is installed?

You should see it listed as SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET framework.

B1 uses a patched (OEM) version of the standard CR for VS and it's possible it may be an older version that may not have all of the Printer updates in it.

Are you using the latest version of B1?

Appreciate your reply.

Currently the implementation team is trying to adjust the layout for A/R Invoice. This is where we are facing issues with the SAP B1.

When we develop the layout in CR and print, the printout is fine. But when we upload to SAP B1 and try to print through, the alignment goes.

Right now, this is the major issue.

If we can fix this, we can proceed of designing other layouts.
