Printing Remittance on last page each statement in statement run

Post Author: danish

CA Forum: General

Hi,

Relatively new to crystal reports.

Our problem is we are trying to print the remittance on the last page for each statement within a statement run.

We have it doing this but on the pages before the last page it is leaving a gap at the bottom because we have told

report only to print page footer on last page. Is there a parameter setting we can select that allows us to print the

details to the end of the first pages but then on the last page allows us to print the page footer which contains the

remittance etc. Can we suspress page footer for all pages except last page.

We though we had it by putting the remittance details in one of the groups, it look fine on preview, but when it prited

it turned to custard.

Regards Torben

First off, I would put it in the Report Footer b/c that is always on the last page. But assuming that there is a reason you can' t do this, use conditional formatting to suppress the page footer. Go to the Section Expert for that section and click the Formula Editor button for the Suppress property. Enter this formula: Not OnLastRecord This will suppress it till the last page.

Thanks for that. I used NOT OnLastRecord which has remittance

printing on every last page of each statement within a statement run.

But I still have the problem where I have 2 pages for a statement, the

detail lines on the first page will print down to where the page footer

is suppose to begin and it leaves a big blank rather than continuing

to pint the detail lines. The second page has the rest of the detail

lines printing and the remittance. Second page fine but first page

could have more lines printing on it. Is there a way of getting it to print

more lines on the first page if the page footer is blank and suppressed

    and not showing.

    Regards Torben

Why can't you use the report footer and tick the 'Print at Bottom of Page' box?

Wont using the report footer only print the remittance on the last page

    of the whole statement run.

I want it printing at the end of each statement (could be 300+ within a run).

If there are more than 2 pages for a statement then it only needs to print on

last page of that statement, but this could be recurring for a lot of the

    statements.

At present it only prints about 23 lines max on first page.

I would have thought that if I had suppress a page footer section and it was

blank then the details section would be able to print to bottom of page or near

it especially if all page footers and report footers are suppressed.

Solution came up with. Use several page footers. 1 page footer used when pagecount = totalpagecount and one page footer used when pagecount < totalpagecount.

One footer has Continued..... etc on it while other one has remittance etc on it.
