I've got a Master report set up with a number of subreports placed each in their own section. The problem is that it is trying to print the subreport no matter if there are records in the group or not. If it is a blank subreport I don't want it or the section it resides in to appear; yet it still does. Does anyone know how to get around this? I found the "Suppress blank subreport" option and that killed the actual subreport from appearing but the section it's in still appears and it's adding about 40 pages to my report that I don't need. I also set up a formula in the Suppress option in Section Expert for the Report but it doesn't do anything. The suppression formula is this:{CBIRptTotals.Group2} = "" Group2 is the Group that the subreport is linked to and if there are no codes in Group 2 I don't want the report or it's section to show up. Thanks, Mike

You also need to check the 'Suppress Blank Subreport' box in the subreport's formatting.

Yeah, that seemed like the logical choice, but it didn't work. It's OK though, I just redesigned the report and didn't use subreports. Thanks for the suggestion though. Mike

Go to the Section Expert, select the section and check the Supress Blank Section option.
