Hello, I have started using range parameters in a lot of my reports but have something that I can't figure out and can't seem to find the answer to. When I use the range and it comes up to ask for starting ending I would like to be able to just click OK (without populating the field) and have it search everything in that particular field. I have a report that I was given that comes up and asks for a code range - if I don't enter anything and just pick OK it is as if I have entered aa-zz for a range (even though I haven't). I don't know who wrote that particular report so I am not able to ask the author how it was done and I can't see anything different that may be causing this. When I try to do this with a range parameter it comes up with no data. I tried using a default of * but that didn't seem to make any difference.
I had been using 2 different parameters in the past for Starting and Ending codes and then searching by using ( in to ) as my formula and was able to do a default that way, however I like the way the range parameters can be entered on the same screen.
Is this possible to do?
