I recently installed Visual Studio 2008 and installed Crystal 2008. The good news is that I can compile and run reports. The bad news is that Crystal 2008 did not install into the IDE for VS2008, which means I can't work with reports which use datasets etc. I purposely did not install the embeded Crystal that comes as part of VS2008 so that I could see what happened with CR2008.
No big surprise since CR2008 was released before VS2008, but I'm hoping someone knows what the plans are for this feature. Is it coming in an update, and is it coming relatively soon? In the meantime, should I just use the version of Crystal that came with VS2008, and does anyone know what features it has?
TIA

Since no one seemed to know on the forum, I opened a case with technical support... Here is their response:
Since Visual Studio 2008 has released recently, right now, we did not test CR 2008 with VS2008. Our Product Group is working on this issue; and may release the patch soon for integrating the CR 2008 with VS 2008. CR 2008 is the primary target for VS 2008. Once we release the patch, this information would be published in our u201CTechnical Support siteu201D
