propercase in Crystal 8.5?

Hello Everyone, Newbie here...in fact, just installed crystal 8.5 this morning. I'm trying to format the last name field so that only the first letter is capitalized. I've tried creating this formula: propercase({tblRSVP.Last}) But when I go to save it, I get this error message: "The remaining text does not appear to be part of the formula." Does the "propercase" syntax work in 8.5? If not, what's an alternative? Thank you!
