Depends on your Crystal version.
Since you didn't bnother to post your software version...
One solution is to create a Date Range parameter in the subreport and link them.
Another solution is to manually address it by pointing the data range parameter field to the date fields in the subreport, and then going into the record selection formula of the subreport and altering what it put in from = to <= and >=
One or both of the above will work for you.
