Issue with Group Tree in Crystal XI reports.

Post Author: Narayan Majji

Hi,

We recently installed SP2 for BO XI2 and when I open a crystal report in infoview its by default opening with the Group Tree activated and I had to manually click on "Show / Hide Group Tree" to make it disappear, this wasnt the case when we had SP2, we have around 400 Crystal Reports and each one of them is opening with the Group tree activated as default , is there a way of not making it default and making it only viewable if the user wants by clicking on the "Show / Hide Group Tree" icon.

Your help on this is deeply appreciated.

Thanks,

-Narayan.

    Hi,

Isnt there a way of doing it in single go for all the reports at once in infoview rather than going into each report File --> Report Options --> Uncheck Create Groups, the reason being I have 450 CR's and its a bit tedious process to do for each and everything.

    Thanks,

    -Narayan.

Does anyone have an answer for this? I also need to have the Group Tree turned off by default in the web-based ActiveX viewer. Is there a setting in BOE or in the reports themselves to get this thing to go away (by default)?

    Thanks.

Oops, never mind. Why doesn't the BO forum display the whole thread? Silly.

Anyway, I tried that suggestion and it worked. I also have over 300 reports to deal with, but hey, I gotta convert them all from 8.5 to XI anyway, so I might as well just add one more step! Blech.
