Hi,

I have a string field (called hoteldays)which has dates in it in the form of 2/29/2004 11:01. I set up a parameter as a date field called test. in the report selection criteria i have:

cdate({table.hoteldays}) = ?parameter

when i run the report and enter in my parameters, it goes to the above code and says 'Bad Date Format'.

if i delete the parameter and set up a formula field with cdate({table.hoteldays}) and put it on the report, it come out fine as a date in format of 29-Feb-2004. Its only when i set up the parameter that it does not work. Does my parameter have to be set as a string field as a result of it being stored in the database as a varchar. i want to be able to convert it to a date in crystal and then be able to select the dates i want. There must be a way around this.

Is there anyway i can get around this. Please help?
