CA Forum: Upgrading and Licensing
HelloI'm looking for a listing/paper, an information source which lists the RDC API classes/functionality for which royalty fees should be paid.My case:Our application shows reports created with CrystalReports XI Developer (full)the app is currently installed on two testsystems: Vista & XPthere is one report who works fine on XP, but doesn't work on Vistaon Vista I get an error (translated from german):"...you are trying to use functionality of the report creation API, for which you need a Business Object license...subsystem: Crystal Reports ActiveX DesignerError Subcode: 1Function: ADDTEXTOBJECT..."So far I read the papers licensing whitepaper, RDC deployment and the huge information provided on businessobjects.com but could not find a listing/description of the report creation APINow, I would like to verify this errormessage if it is a Vista specific problem, since there is no problem with the same report on XP, or if I should just buy another CrystalReports Developer Edition for each customer. I appreciate any pointers.SincerelyEnder Sert

No, I have not, but I will update my CR XI installation to CR XI Release 2 SP 2, and build a new installer package with, and surely report the result here. Thank you for your quick reply.

Looks like a Vista buglet to me.
Did you apply SP2?
