Simple SUM

Hi All,

I'm working on CR XI and have the following issue. I need to sum a calculated field by gruop, but I can't do it with running total because the field is not a Database field, it's a formula field. I need to sum this field for each group and place it in group footer. I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot

Hi. My report has 3 groups. Lets say I have a field called @ValueX (formula field), it's numeric and is placed in group 2 footer. I want to summarize it and put the result in group 1 footer. I can't use Running Totals because that field doesn't even appear to select it.Thanks for your time!

Who told you that you can't use Running Totals to sum formulas? I do it all the time. The only limitation is that it can't be a summary type of formula of a NEXT ofr PREVIOUS or anything that uses multiple records.
