How to create a custom workflow in HCP and incorporate it into S4HANA Cloud apps?

Hello Everyone,

I am designing a correct solution for the below workflow requirement in S4HC system, but not able to find correct way:

1.In the app Edit Billing Requests in s4hana cloud, I need to add a functionality to send a mail to user after user perform save and release action.

--There is no standard BADI/Enhancement point provided by SAP at this event as of now,so we cannot go for in-app extensibility.

--I am trying to design a custom workflow using workflow editor in HCP and deploy it to the s4hana cloud but not getting how to assign event from a app to the workflow start event.(here we do not have standard BADI/enh point available at that event)

Could anyone help me with this and suggest if this requirement can be achieved using custom workflow in hcp if yes then how to create task for the event we want?and how to deploy that in s4hana cloud

Any suggestions will be a big help.

Hi Harshada,

currently there is no event-based integration with S/4HANA for side-by-side extensions, this is on the roadmap.

If there is an API to retrieve the released billing request (check API Hub), then you could use SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to periodically poll for new requests and based on this information trigger the CP Workflow.
