Hello Everyone!!!

I really hope I can get some help here!!! I have a cross-tab report that is broken out by hour of the day (column) then by state (row). My data is the average number of sales. I have no problems with this so far.

My problem is in my report footer I would like to have a sum of the averages by hour. For instance for hour 1300 i have an average of (10 for FL, 5 for GA, and 15 for CO). I want to sum all of the averages together to make a total of 30. I want this for each hour, perferably in a cross-tab. This one has really been kicking my butt! Thank you guys!!

Bob

Cross tab is possible, how do you want to set it up. Hours as rows, or columns.

I set this up using excel, for rows I put Florida and Georgia averages, and added a formula {Sheet1_.Fl-Avg}+{Sheet1_.Ga-Avg}

I set the column to be the Hours, ( not sure if this is what you are looking for. For the graph, I selected (for each record) Then in the show values section I put FL-Avg, GA-Avg and the Formula Hope this helps.

Georgia (State Group) Each group has an actual average by hour. This part I have down. Its my Grand Total (Sum of Average I'm have problems with)

Hour 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 Total Avg. 6.50 8.13 1.25 4.00 9.88 10.25 8.88 6.63 15.00 10.99 10.77 12.55 12.00

Florida (State Group)

Hour 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 Total Avg. 6.50 8.13 1.25 4.00 9.88 10.25 8.88 6.63 15.00 10.99 10.77 12.55 12.00

Grant Total (or the Sum of the Average). Below is what I would like my end result to be (by adding each average together). I would love to be this in a cross-tab format but not sure if that it possible. I would also like to graph it. Hope this helps

Hour 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 Total Avg. 13.00 16.26 ect.....

Can you post some more sample data, along with a description of the layout. Also, what version of CR are you on?
