Hi, I've got a problem with the date format:

The Default-Setting for the date is the system setting. The System setting is like 2007/12/31. The date on the report is printed like 31.12.2007. I tried to change the system date format, including the system language, the format in Crystal Reports (Options - ... ). Nothing applies changes.

When I change the specific date field the changes do apply, but when I'd like to use the System Settings because I've got a lot of date-fields, it's not possible to change each field separately...

Could you please help? Thanks!

Hi... we have a similar problem. We have 2 servers (Production and Test). Each running Crystal 10 RAS. Each with (apparently) the same Regional settings. The RPT's are all identical.... and Dates have been set to DD-MMM-YY (so in English should return for example as 08-AUG-07).

However, when reports are generated by the RAS on one of these, the Dates show in French.

Any ideas on that weird one?

Nick

I did a reboot, but my new field didn't change. When I changed all the language settings I did a reboot too, that's why it's suspicious.

Is there another opportunity, another way to find that out, do you've got an idea? I tried out many different settings, my ideas are gone

Did you close and reopen the Crystal Reports after changing regional setting?Crystal Reports only get the regional setting when it starts. It's not possible to know you're changing regional setting when Crystal Reports program is running.

Thx for that infos. So I changed the windows region setting: I set the dateformat to 31/12/2007 to try. Nothing happend, neither to the new fields I put on the report.

Isnt' it weird that already existing dates (neither new fields) won't be changed? I thought that was the reason why there is the system date format. The preview is alright of the date when I want to change the format...

"System setting" means the Windows Region setting about DateTime. Please go to Windows Control Panel to change that. And Crystal Reports (Options - ... ), the format is apply for new field you'll put on report. The setting is not able to change any existing date field format.
