Retension Formula

Hello, am new to this forum and pretty new to CR as well.

I was wondering if someone can explain to me how I can write a formula to be able to determin if certain files meet a rentension period of, lets say 5 years?

I have some file that have to be destoryed, some meet 5 years and some other are 10 years. I will be looking at a date table in our Database for this to work. Basicly, the last day the file was touched or worked on. So the formula would have to look at the last day the file was touched and then see if it meets the 5 year or 10 year retension date.

If I m not making myself clear, its becuase I dont know how to talk database talk. Sorry
