Load Historical Sales Data in IBP

Hello Experts,

I have a query regarding loading of Historical Sales data into IBP. We are only having Time-series data.

We are moving to SAP landscape from Legacy systems.

1. The actual sales data which resides in Legacy system will form the base of statistical forecasting. It has to be loaded directly to IBP from the legacy systems, as the historical data will not be present in the HANA database. ::: My approach of loading this data into IBP is to download the Key Figure template from Data Integration Jobs app for ACTUALSQTY@DAYPRODLOCCUST , fill it with relevant information, upload the CSV file and run Statistical Forecasting.

Is this the right approach? Or is there a better way of uploading Actual Sales data directly to IBP? Please note that this activity has to be done only once before the Go-live as after that, the actual sales will be available in HANA.

2. My second query regarding transfer of the actual sales data post go live from HANA to IBP. What is the best approach for loading data to IBP from HANA. My current approach is to use SOP_KF_Actuals template in CPI-DS for data load?

Hi Basu,

You can use CPI-DS for your 2 scenarios . In your 1st case, if the volume of data is very less then you can use data integration approach else you can go with CPI-DS. In your 2nd scenario there is only option i.e CPI-DS as it's a regular process and there is no other interface available to load into IBP. You can use standard template or Custom approach for CPI-DS.
