Tooltips in exported PDF not working

Post Author: Potatohead

CA Forum: Exporting

I've created a console application using Crystal in Visual Studio 2005. It generates PDFs via the ReportDocument.Export method. I can't seem to get my custom tooltips to appear/work. Any hyperlink I define just has the destination URL as the tooltip. Tooltips assigned to non-hyperlinks have nothing at all... Does the PDF export not support custom tooltips? Suggestions? Thanks!

Having opened a case myself on this, the answer is that tooltip exporting isn't supported to PDF's. The work around I ended up using was sending the report to HTML where it does work and offering the client two copies of the report, one to view and use tooltips and one PDF to print from Hope that helps
