Adding date range parameter causes no data to be returned

I'm running CR XI against Oracle and only recently when I add a date range in as a parameter my data fails to return. To clarify, I can build a report and have it return data. I add a date range parameter and suddenly no data even though I can confirm there is valid data to be had. I have lots of reports with date range parameters that work, but since about a month ago I can't get them to work in any new reports. There is no error message produced, it simply doesn't return anything. Does anyone know if this is a bug and if there's a fix for it? Thanks, Mary
