Crystal XI and SQL2005 connections (I have a deadline please help)

I have around 100 reports created in Crystal XI with data on a SQL2000 server, we recently finished installing SQL2005

now when I try to create a connection to SQL2005 using Native mode my server is not listed, if I go ahead and fill in the

information requiered I can see my DB but it fails to connect the error I get is

login failed:

Details: ADO error code 0x80040e73

Source: Microsoft OLE DB Service components

Description: Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB specification.

I would really hate to have to use ODBC as this would require creating a ODBC connection on 200 computers

what do I need to be able to update all my reports connections to the SQL2005 server.
