Repeated permission requests

I am a beginner developer.

I created an executable file after the program source builder. Then run the executable file. then 'Do you want to allow the next program, unknown to the publisher, to make changes to this computer?' Message is displayed.

The problem is that every time I run the executable file this message will appear and it will be executed. It seems inconvenient for users to get this message every time they run.

I wonder if you can solve this problem with PowerBuilder settings or program modifications without changing the pc settings.

Environment : PowerBuilder 12.0 ,User os windows 10

It will be helpful if you give me advice.

  • Officially, SAP PowerBuilder is not supported on Windows 10. Windows 10 support is added with PowerBuilder 2017 from Appeon.

But that is not the issue with the message you are seeing. That message is related to User Account Control (UAC). Your application must be doing something that violates the UAC. For example, you are not permitted write access in directories such as %ProgramFiles%, %ProgramW6432%, and %SystemRoot%. You will need to identify that it is doing to trigger that message and make the necessary changes to have your application comply with UAC.

Otherwise, you would have to disable or modify the UAC which is certainly not a recommended approach.
