Crystal Reports XI Subqueries

To my knowledge there is no way to write a crystal report even with version XI Release 2 with a subquery in the main query. This be in either the from or where clause. Is this correct? I have been told it is possible but noone has been able to show me how it can be done. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
