Try limiting the number of unique group values in cross tab

Hi,

I am using cross tab in crystal report 8.This cross tab have 12 fixed column and one dynamic column.I am having problem when the number of records exceed to 5000.

The errror message:The number of rows or columns is too big.Try limiting the number of unique group values.

Please help to resolve the issue.

Rajesh, I am not aware of a limit, but I am using CR XI, not 8. That's why I asked about the filters, if you could limit the number of records returned it should fix your issue.

No,I do not have any date field to filter out.All fields are either numeric or varchar.We are using stored procedure to return the correct record to report.Is there any limitation on cross tab to create unique group based on records.

Rajesh, do you have something you could filter on... ie Date ?, if so, you could use a select statement to limit your records based on a date range.
