CA Forum: Migration to XI R2

Hi

We migrated few reports from BO 6.5 reports to BO XI Desktop reports ,After migration it was identitfed that LOV values for each prompt is behaving differently when compared to original BO 6.5 reports.Example are sometimes Values button is disabled in migrated BO XI reports another problem was the values shown in BO Xi migrated reports was not same like as original Bo 6.5 reports.Aslo i done the manaul migration but the same problem occurs in the migrated reports.

Also it is behaving different for different machines. The Values button which is diabled for the BO XI report in my machine was enabled .

Did anyone have gone through such situation.Solutions are most welcome.

If you are seeing inconsitencies in Values button presentation, check your version of Java on the Desktop as well as the server. You don't mention which version of BO XI that you are operating under. Certain versions of Java on the client side behave differently with certain versions of BO XI. For instance, you can't use Java 1.5 and higher with BO XI SP2. If you load BO XI SP3 then Java 1.5 is compatible, and BO XI 3.0 then you must have Java 1.5 or higher. The Java compatibility has really thrown a monkey wrench into the seeking of stability of operations....
