Unable to Add License Key

Post Author: Lee Kelley

CA Forum: Administration

I am unable to add a second license key to Crystal Server. Original installation was 5 named users. When I try to add the key for additional 20 concurrent licenses, I receive the following error..

"There was an error while writing data back to the server: This license key cannot be added until the current keys have been removed."

As I understand it, I should have the 5 named that came with the purchase of the Crystal Server software plus the additional 20 concurrent licenses that we purchase, a total of 25 licenses.

Any insight as to way I can not add the second key?????

This sounds like a licensing issue. You will need to contact who-ever gave you the keys and ask. If one of the keys is a demo key they cannot be combined with production keys. This would be expected behavior. Either way there is nothing you can do with troubleshooting license keys. Either they work together or they don't.
