BO XI R2 SP2 - Installation on Vista

hi all

i'm trying to install BO XI R2 SP2 Server on Windows Vista and for some reason it is not installing any of the services. Most importantly the 'Central Management Server' service.

any reason why?

I get an error during the installation though -

there are about 50 lines of various files.could this be the issue? Or is there some software patch/update im missing?

    i think you are the first one using Vista,, does business objects support it?

    i even dont use it on my desktop

    do you have to use Vista,, why not use Windows Server 2003?

    i need to use Vista unfortunately.

    if i dont come right in the next week, i'll be re-isntalling XP.

    BO works fine with XP

    That error has no effect on the BOXIR2 SP2 client installation.

    Shortlyday, Server installation on Vista is not supported. Even server installation on XP is buggy and not supported.
