Designer Logon issue via VPN

I am new to this software and had an issue trying to connect to a server using VPN connection from home. Tool is Designer version 11. I am using LDAP authentication and I get this error: "An internal error has occurred in the secLdap plugin "

When I came into my office today, I was able to log on.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
