Visual Studio 2008 - CR XI R2

I have visual studio 2008 and CR XI R2 installed on my development

machine, and we have a RAS server set up with CR XI, when I try to run

a report on the RAS server I get a com error that says,

System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Ln 1 Col 1: Invalid

document structure. Does my development version of CR need to be the same version as the one on the RAS server? Any other ideas would be appreciated.
