Rpt runtime Designer

Post Author: s.sivapatham

CA Forum: .NET

Dear CR Users...

Iam planning to write a programm, that allows to edit the report in the reportviewer (runtime). Like the Editor from CR but integrated in my own program and runtime.

So my plan is, to handle the editing function via mouseclicks on the section or reportobject, for example to make the heading in bold letter or insert a picture... something like a CMS HTML Editor but an Editor for Rpt. My Problem now is, that i cant handle any clicks on the reportobejct or section on the Report in the reportviewer.

Knows somebody, how i can solve this problem...Is Rpt Editor already exists? with ocx...for vb.net

i hope you will understand my problem....

There is no ocx for .NET, ocx was retired after CR 8.5

You also can not alter report objects using the Crystal viewer.

You would have to create your own viewer and use the RAS object model for its RCAPI capabilities to alter reports at runtime.
