Table browser in Designer(XIr2sp2) does not show any tables in databases with naming convention dot between them.

I am trying to create a universe.( sql server 2005, BO XI r2 sp2)

I am trying to insert tables from a table browser in ( XI r2 sp2 designer) but when i maximize the database it says fetching for a sec but returns no tables.I found that the table naming convention is the reason for this .

The database naming convention is something like this.(ex ASD.CA.PROD).where as on the same server databases with no dot "." between the names shows up the tables.

Is this a bug or is there any workaround for this.

We cannot change the database name now.

did you checked the access right for those tables and that user you use in the connection created?
