Can underlying code from X2008 be transferred to v4.5?

Post Author: Lisa C

We are incredibly frustrated by the issues around automating our reports to run in PPT when exported from X2008. This was not an issue for a colleague who created earlier reports using V4.5 and it is critical that we do not have to instruct recipients of our reports to right click and click play in order to use the tool. It's far too cumbersome.

Rather than have our colleague recreate 2days worth of X2008 work in V4.5 is it possible for us to send them the underlying syntax from our X2008 to quickly recreate our work in V4.5?

Thanks

I'm sorry to say that X2008 models cannot be transferred to CX4.5. The underlying architecture was totally rewritten.I understand your frustration interacting with powerpoint. It is a security restriction from Adobe starting from flash player 8. We are working with Adobe to address this issue and get them to relax the restriction to be more like 4.5 behavior (uses flash player 7). However there is no decision at this time.- AndyXcelsius QA
