I would like to file a bug in Crystal Reports Designer XI (Product version 11.5.8.826) in combination with a Windows extended desktop.

It's easily reproducable:

- Open a report (blank one for instance)- Choose Insert -> Image from the toolbar- Choose an image from disk- While placing the image, a surrounding stroke is displayed to show the image position. - Now, before placing the image on the report, move the mouse to the extended portion of your desktop. I'm not sure if this matters, but mine was on the left side of my main desktop. - As soon as the mouse pointer hits the extended desktop, the Crystal Reports Designer crashes and all changes untill that point are lost.

12 Months on supposably a not-so-hard to fix issue... great support :S

We have just bought two copies of Crystal reports XI and we can't use it on an extended desktop monitor.

Crashes under various operations but consistently when dragging from Field Explorer onto report, all on same (extended) monitor, not even between monitors.

Is this ever going to be sorted out?

Hi,

I was struggling with the exact same issue 12 months ago, which I posted here and unfortuantly, it still seems to occur. I had two monitors (the right hand one being primary and left hand one being secondary with left-right coord from 0 to -19000. It seemed that if the cursor went into a negative coord area, crystal would crash. Very annoying!

That meant I either had to change my work environment, or be limited to using crystal on a single montor. I had hoped posting here would get the issue looked at, but no luck so far. Perhaps these new posts on the issue will spark some sort of fix!
