When I create new application sets in BPC v5.1 it appears that, in addition to creating the new application set database, BPC is also creating another database with the same name but the word "Extra" is tacked onto the end. For example, the ApShell application set shows both an "ApShell" and an "ApShellExtra" database in SQL Server 2005. I tried backing up and then deleting the "Extra" databases for testing purposes but they appear to have been recreated automatically in SQL Server 2005.
Does anyone know what the function of these databases are? Are these "Extra" databases specific to my configuration or is this actually built into the BPC product?
I didn't see anything in the BPC documentation I have regarding the extra databases and if I missed it, I apologize.
I am running a single server configuration with BPC v5.1 installed.
Thank you
Adam
