Hi all,
Is there is any way to make Profit centre(Plant)
field mandatory in AR invoice ?
Jeyakanthan
Hello,
There is no option to choose if Profit centre is mandatory or not.
To ensure all users choose a profit centre, you can set up an approval procedure.
In approval procedure, you also can use query to apply on it but it is only supportable for header level information.
You can use any one of the two options to link a profit/cost center to a GL-account.
- Link the Account to a project which will be expressed in the journal entry by creating a Distribution Rule in the Chart of Accounts an Account Details.
Account Details.
-Link the account manually in the journal entry itself to a project.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Hi Jeyakanthan,
I am afraid in the current version of SAP Business One, it is not possible to make the profit center mandatory.
However in the case you forget to enter the costing code into your marketing document,
you can still change the linked JE of the document for appropriate profit center.
click the line of BP and change the Profit Center.
Kind Regards,
Willy

There are 2 ways:
1. with SDK programming
2. using transaction notification stored procedure in adding and updating the invoice. In case that the profit centre isnt filled, throw @error = 1 with some description.
