Hi All

I want to auto populate tax depreciation date from book depreciation date i.e. whatever date I put at ordinary depreciation start date at book depreciation should auto populate at tax depreciation area too. Is this possible functionally? I tried with substitution rule but I m not getting exact logic to write.

Pls advice.

Regards

Pankaj

Hi Pankaj,

I think you can achieve this with IMG node "Transfer Depreciation Terms" (something like that, name could be different) under Asset accounting. There you can get the identical depreciation data from book depreciation area.

It is achievable just search for the appropriate IMG node under the Asset Accounting.

Hi Shakeel

Thanks for your advice. However our depreciation keys are different for both book depreciation as well as tax depreciation (it uses special depreciation too) & the changes are not auto populating tax depreciation date from book depreciation date.

Pls advice.

You should be able to change the depreciation key if even it comes automatically. Please check.

Hi, Please tick identical and try. There would another node in IMG similar sort of check if that has role to play. It's achievable.

I can't tick identical as the two areas treat the 'Special depreciation' depreciation type differently.

Thanks
