'Strategy Group' in MRP2 screen of Material Master -- Its various uses

Hello,

I would like to know under what circumstances, which Strategy groups are used in MRP2 screen of Material Master. We use Strategy group # 85 to trigger creation of Operative Network and Project when Sales order is created in system for Assembly processing. We are in roofing industry for every roof installation, we create sales order. We don't use Networks but use Projects W(with 2 wbs elements) to capture Planned and Actual Revernue and Costs. If possible, I would like to know with real world scenarios for various Strategy groups used.

Following are the various Strategy groups available in system.

00 No planning / no requirements transfer

10 Make-to-stock production

11 Make-to-stock prod./gross reqmts plnning

20 Make-to-order production

21 Make-to-order prod./ project settlement

25 Make-to-order for configurable material

26 Make-to-order for material variant

30 Production by lot size

31 Prod. by lot, with make-to-order prod.

32 Make-to-order prod. with prod. by lot

33 Prod.by lot, with plng with final assem.

40 Planning with final assembly

41 Plng with final assem, with make-to-ord.

50 Planning without final assembly

51 Plng w/o final assembly / project settl.

52 Plnng w/o final assem. w/o make-to.stock
