SPAU - Retrieve function

Former Member

Hi,

I'm working on upgrade project and we have been working on the SPAU list.

One of the programs in the w/o modification assistant, we need the old 4.6C version of the program to be used after upgrade. In the Version Management, I have the function to 'Retrieve' the old version. Is that what I need to do?

Br,

Sonni

hi sonni,

when u click on the object it will say either Retain the old version or adopt the new code.

in this case you should say Reset to original.

the Terminology may be different bu the meaning is to say Retain or Retrieve.

If there are Green icon, then staright away click on the object and say enter.

if it is a red icon then you need to do a comparision.

Hope this helps you out

Thanks & Regards

Hi Sonni,

When you are performing SPAU on objects that are under "with modification assistant" or "without modification assistant" , you need to take a decision whether to reset to original or adopt modification.

Reset to original would mean upgraded SAP version ( the customer changes to the object is not present )

Adopt modification means picking up the customer changes as well.

If you had wrongly reset to original and want to adopt modifications as present in the 4.6 version of the object, simply compare the upgraded SAP version with 4.6 version and make necessary changes as needed.

else if you need only the 4.6 version then retrieve the latest 4.6 version from the version management.
