how to create an infotype

can anybody help how to create customer infotype plz

Hi,

Go to T code PM01

Enter the custom infotupe number which you want to create(shoulbe be 4 digits start with 9)

Select the EmployeeInfotye radio button

Select the PS structure infotye

Click to create A separate table maintenance window appears

Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the INfotype

Save and activate the PS structure

Go back to the initial screen of PM)1

Click on All push button. It takes a few moments

lick on Technical characteristics. Infotuype list screen appears

Click on change(pencil) button

Select your infotype and click on Detail(magnifying glass) button

Give T591A as subtype table

Give T591S as subtype tab

Give your subtype field as subtype field

Save and come back to PM01 initial screen

Click on Change (Pencil) button

Click on New entries

Enter your infotype number and short text

Here we have to set different infotupe characteristics as per the requirement

Save your entries

Now the infotype is created and ready to use

If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement

In the PM01 initial screen... Select screen radio buttion and aive*** as the screen name, then click on edit

In the next screen ...select layout editor and click change

Screen default layout appears..Here you can design/modigy the screen change the attributes of the fields..etc.

Save and activate (Don't forget to 'Acrtivate at every level)

Sub type creation:

Transaction PM01 goto subtype characteristics. Click on Append and subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen

Then to to technical characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. i.e name of subtype i.e component name defined in number. Subtype table is T519A.

Subtype text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.

U can hide the field:Table T588m her u can enter ur module pool and screen no.(IF it is not there..) and can do necessary screen modifications...

Hey All

Just a small note:

You must use one of the following transactions to maintain/create Infotypes and their components:

o PPCI (Personnel Planning Infotype Copier) - PD

o PM01 (Personnel Administration Infotype Copier) - PA

In simple words, the steps described above using PM01 enables you to create a Personnel Administration Infotype, and maintain them in HR Master Data Maintenance. However, using PPCI you create Personnel Planning Infotypes which includes OM, Personal Development... etc. To see the steps of PPCI, simply google "Personnel Planning Infotype".
