hi all,
we are loading data in to PSA for master data in DEV. system in BI7. I am unable to load data the error message is
Job termination in source system
Diagnosis
The background job for data selection in the source system has been terminated. It is very likely that a short dump has been logged in the source system
Procedure
Read the job log in the source system. Additional information is displayed here.
To access the job log, use the monitor wizard (step-by-step analysis) or the menu path <LS>Environment -> Job Overview -> In Source System
.
Error correction:
Follow the instructions in the job log messages..
can any one tell me the reason why it was failing.
Hi Sri,
I also face this problem once this is basis related problem
1.Check your RFC connection first .
if its working fine do this
2. check your maximum ideal time of your server by basis guy beacause those person set some time limit in r3 or bi server if that time is not sufficient for your job it always give dump
Assign points
Thanks

1first check ur source system connection from RSMO t code
if connection is ok
2. check job overview in SM37. copy request name from RSMO and prefix bi in SM37 in R/3 side.
check the job log
here u can find error why ur job was terminated
3. check SM21 specify the data and time and reread system log
Sri,
Take the req no. and go to your source system.
go to SM37 and find the log of this job(BI+req no.)
Also, see what is the dump message in ST22.
Short dump can happen for a no. of resons,....you need to analyze ir.
Try to repeat the load.
Thanks...
Shambhu

Please check the log for the relevant background job in the source system.
This should throw some light on the reason for failure.
As per the message, this is not a BI load failure but ECC job failure.
