A process chain is a sequence of processes that wait in the background for an event. Some of these processes trigger a separate event that can start other processes in turn. or Process chains are tools available in BW for Automation of upload of master data and transaction data while taking care of dependency between each processes.

U can monitor the Process chains in Both ways.
1. Goto Transaction RSPCM > U can see a Add PC button, 2nd rightmost and with a "Notepad" icon> It besides the remove chains icon which is rightmost in the button's list. Here you can add all the process chains whichever chain you want to monitor.
--> click on chain
--> click on the logs
--> select the date selection
--> say ok and click on refresh button.
2. Goto RSPC --> Select Your Chain and cilck on 'Log' button and select the date for 'Logview' and u can see the chain for Successful/Failures (if any process is 'Red' and Rightclk on that particular process and select 'Display Msgs'...
