The exact difference between 262 movements are

Through MBST

Cancelling the document will Open the reservation closed. i.e., you will have pending issue for the qty you reversed against production order which will show when you try to issue against order.

Through MB1A

You are just returning the material (not against the issue) so the reservation will not open. i.e., When you try to issue against production order the qty returned will not reflect as pending issues / reservations.

If a 262 reversal movement is done using MBST it will be with reference to the earlier material document of 261 movement. If 262 is done with MB1A it will not have any reference until unless explicitly specified in the document.

Let take the ex.

I have done 261. If i checked in component overview i am getting values in qty. withdrawn.

when i am cancelling the doc.(262) the qty. from this field get vanished.

And

When i am doing it through MB1A (262) the qty. is still there.

Is this mean that while doing cancellation by MBST system made changes as it was before .

And while doing by MB1A it consider that its just a goods movement only (by 262). so it is not updating or reversing the qty

Hi Amit,

When you do document cancel in MBST, the movement type will be 262 automatically by the system

If you do it in MB1A, you have to select " Cancel with reference to Order" from the menu and movement type.

Hy Amit,

MBST is transection to cancel the Document No. generated during any inventory related goods movement.But Sytem genrates one more document for the history pupose.

While if you do the 262 movements through MB1A t.Code, it does'nt mean that you cancel the earlier Document (generated for 261 movement), it means that you just returns the issued material with refrence to order.
