Time Out Issue

We are implementing SRM 5.0 .We loaded about 9000 Product categories and ever since we are having performance issues with few transactions (Mainly time outs).

I am aware that there is an SAP note related to this issue.I have limited time to search and would appreciate if anyone who has faced this issue let me know the reference to the note.

You can look at this note as I was not clear about the time out issue with product categories.

I mean, what happens and when happens?
